List of Main Characters

• Rintarou Okabe - (CV: Mamoru Miyano /J. Michael Tatum ) a self-proclaimed mad scientist who usually refers to himself as "Hououin Kyouma". Often seen as a delusional and paranoid man, Okabe is usually found talking on his cellphone against the elusive 'organization'.
• Kurisu Makise - (CV: Asami Imai /Trina Nishimura ) is an extremely talented neuroscience researcher, having had her research published in the "Sciency" academic journal at the young age of 18.
• Mayuri Shiina - (CV: Kana Hanazawa /Jackie Ross ) is a long time childhood friend of Rintarō and naive for her age. Mayuri enjoys creating cosplay costumes and has a part-time job at a maid cafe.
• Itaru Hashida - (CV: Tomokazu Seki /Tyson Rinehart ) an experienced hacker in both software and hardware technologies. He is also well-versed in things pertaining to otaku culture.
• Suzuha Amane - (CV: Yukari Tamura /Cherami Leigh ) works part-time for the landlord of Rintarō's flat and is on a search for her father in Akihabara. She enjoys riding her bicycle and has a strong dislike for Kurisu. She is also known as John Titor.
• Ruka Urushibara - (CV: Yuu Kobayashi /Lindsay Seidel ) is a bishōnen who looks strikingly like a girl and even wears the garment of a miko despite being a boy. He is a close friend of Mayuri and is often asked by her to try on her cosplay costumes, he has romantic feelings for Rintarou.
• Faris NyanNyan - (CV: Haruko Momoi /Jad Saxton ) works at the maid cafe "Mayqueen Nyannyan", the same maid cafe that Mayuri works at, and is the most popular waitress there.
• Moeka Kiryū - (CV: Saori Gotou /Jessica Cavanagh ) is a shy, tall girl that Rintarō bumps into in Akihabara. She is on a search for the IBN 5100 personal computer.

Side Characters

• Yuugo Tennouji- (CV: Masaki Terasoma /Christopher R. Sabat ), called Mr. Braun by Okabe, he is the landlord of the building the Lab is situated in and runs a CRTrepairshop on the ground floor.
• Nae Tennouji- (CV: Ayano Yamamoto /Brina Palencia ) is the timid, young daughter of Yuugo Tennouji.
• Shouichi Makise- (CV: Mitsuru Ogata /Kent Williams ) is the irritable, estranged father of Kurisu.
• John Titor - (CV: Hiroshi Tsuchida/Patrick Seitz )
• Eisuke Urushibara - (CV: Mitsuaki Hoshino /Robert McCollum ) is the head priest of Yanabayashi Shrine and Ruka's father. Kurisu praised his good nature,
• Yukitaka Akiha - (CV: Taira Kikumoto /Eric Vale ) is a large landowner of Akihabara. He once possessed IBN5100 but sold it for an important reason.

Minor Characters

• 4°C (reads 'Shido') - ( CV: Minoru Shiraishi). Shido is the leader of Viral Attackers, a group of delinquents that play the popular board game "Rai-Net Access Battlers". His craziness almost rivals Okabe's.
• Woman of Sambo - (CV: Yuuko Ushida) a shopwoman of gyudon restaurant. She is known for often warning the lab members of the strict "No Cellphone" rule.
• FES - (CV: Yui Sakakibara) is the lead vocalist of indie band Phantasm, from 5pb/nitroplus game Chaos;HEAd. She sings the false ending theme of Steins;Gate. Her image is seen at various points in the visual novel, such as on screens in front of UPX.
• Lightning Fast Neidhardt, is the handle name of online-MMORPG player Takumi Nishijō, who is somewhat infamous on internet communities such as @channel. He is the protagonist of the game Chaos;HEAd. He is mentioned once by Daru in the visual novel and makes an appearance in the spin-off Steins;Gate - Variant Space Octet.
• Fubuki and Kaede. Mayuri's cosplay friends. Fubuki requested Mayuri to fix her costume which Mayuri had made for her.
• Mother and boy (CV: Toa Yukinari, Mai Hirano): On Manseibashi bridge at 13-Aug-2010 17:20, the two talked about white Shinkansen bullet train.
