"Open the Missing Link" (境界面上のミッシングリンク, Kyōkaimenjō no Misshingu Rinku) is a different version of Episode 23 of the Steins;Gate anime adaptation, initially released on December 2, 2015. It serves as a prequel episode to the Steins;Gate 0 anime.
Synopsis[]
The main difference between this episode and the original episode 23 is that Okabe does not open the Movie Mail from himself. Mayuri begs Suzuha to stop relying on Okabe to prevent World War Three. This Okabe eventually goes on to create Operation Skuld and the Movie Mail, helping Okabe from the original Steins;Gate thwart world line convergence and successfully avert both Kurisu's death and World War Three, thereby entering the Steins Gate world line.
