List of Known World Lines

The Steins;Gate series is set in a universe where multiple events happen in a single time frame. This article lists down the events that happened over the course of the story of Steins;Gate, and will try to cover all known world lines across various forms of media.

Alpha Attractor Field

• January 2, 2011: Okabe lands on this worldline when SERN takes over Amadeus and gets enough information out of him to reestablish dominance in the future.
  • After Okabe arrives on this worldline Kurisu realizes that he'd reading steinered in and decides to undo this worldline. Okabe hesitates but Kurisu tells Okabe to just think of it as a dream and to forget her.
  • Kurisu sends a dmail that causes Amadeus' existence to become public knowledge spurring many moral and ethical debates. In the end Amadeus is put on indefinite hold due to this. Okabe lands on 1.053649^β.

• August 15, 2010: Rounders take IBN5100 to France.
• August 15, 2010: Tennouji Yuugo kills Kiryuu Moeka and then commits suicide. (Anime version only)

• August 15, 2010: Tennouji Nae, driven insane by the suicide of her father, time-leaps repeatedly from 2025 as a Rounder into her child-body of 2010 and kills Kiryuu Moeka. She slashes Okabe Rintarou and warns him that she has killed him in 2025.

• August 15th, 2010: Ruka's third jump. She agrees with Mayuri to cosplay at Comiket. Ruka for a small bit believes that maybe she had changed the past, however, Mayuri still dies.
• August 16th, 2010: Ruka's second jump to the past. She immediately heads to the future gadget lab but is in dismay to see a brokenhearted Okabe. Before not knowing what to do Kurisu enters. Ruka explains a second time and jumps to the 15th.
• August 18th, 2010 (1): Ruka's first Jump to the past. As she reaches the lab she bumps into Kurisu. Ruka explains the circumstances and gets help to leap to the 16th.
• August 18th, 2010 (2): Ruka's second time to the 18th. She meets Kurisu in front of the lab and explains her wishes. She decides to send a d-mail to change back to a boy. She is stopped. Okabe followed her and explains the situation. Ruka convinces Okabe that she is okay with it. Ruka undoes her own D-mail. Okabe eventually arrives at 1.049326% near Steins;Gate.
• August 20th, 2010 (1): Urushibara Ruka Is feeling guilty and struggling to terms with remaining female over Mayuri's death. Ruka decides to share Okabe's burden by also time leaping to the past to grant Mayuri's wish.
• August 20th, 2010 (2): Since the second time spending the last few days, Ruka begins to doubt whether she granted Mayuri's wish or not. As time converges, she meets the Okabe who did not know about her cosplaying at Comiket. She debates on whether or not to show the picture. When asked by Okabe did she succeed in granting Mayuri's wish, she lies and says she failed on the 18th. She then begs to time leap one more time to the 18th.

• August 30, 1993: Urushibara Ruka is born female.
• April 3, 2000: Akiha Yukitaka dies in a plane accident.
• January 4, 2009: Urushibara Ruka cleans the shrine's storehouse and accidently breaks the IBN5100, which she hides in a coin locker.
• August 14, 2010: Okabe Rintarou arrives from 0.409431% after undoing Faris Nyannyan's D-mail.
• August 15, 2010: Okabe Rintarou moves to 0.523307% after undoing Urushibara Ruka's D-mail. Otherwise, Shiina Mayuri dies in an accident.
• Unspecified future date: Okabe Rintarou and Urushibara Ruka have a child together.

• 1975: Kayano attacks Amane Suzuha upon her arrival and throws her off the Radio Kaikan building.
• August 3, 2010: Kiryuu Moeka sneaks into the Yanabayashi shrine grounds under the cover of dark to search for the IBN5100, but retreats after encountering Amane Suzuha.
• August 12, 2010: Amane Suzuha is attacked by Rounders and meets and fights off Kayano.
• August 13, 2010: Kayano kidnaps Tennouji Nae in order to lure Amane Suzuha.

• 2005: SERN's fourth Z-Program Experiment concludes, but human experimentation continues.
• 2011: SERN continues with human experimentation and forces Makise Kurisu to watch.
• December 29, 2011: Okabe and Daru are kept under Rounder observation after being freed and sent back to Japan in order to not disturb the world line convergence.

0.337337^α (Linear Bound Phenogram)

• From the point of view of Suzuha.
• This world line diverges a lot from the circumstances on how Suzuha fixes the time machine and how she discovers that Daru is her father.
• Suzuha is hesitating over her priorities between her mission and friendship resulting in seeing two ghosting figments of herself from the Beta and an unknown peaceful world line. Thus they refer to each other as Alpha, Beta and Omega.
• Omega version of Suzuha is a spoiled kid living a peaceful life with no knowledge of time travel. The world line where Omega Suzuha came from is unclear. The name Omega given to her might imply that she is from Omega Attractor Field; however, since this name was pick randomly between Greek alphabet such as Gamma and Omega, this name may or may not have any significant meaning. Thus she could be from any peaceful world line. At the end of the story, Alpha Suzuha said to Omega that herself and Beta Suzuha are fighting hard so they can reach you which heavily imply Omega Suzuha had came from "The Steins Gate" world line which is where the True End of the main plot occurs.
• Suzuha learns early on that Daru is her father due to Omega revealing it to her. Before going to 1975, Suzuha decides to spend some time with her dad Daru.

0.337199^α (Linear Bound Phenogram)

• August 10th, 2011 to August 11, 2011: Okabe become Alcapaman to solve many cases in Akibahara, with the help of "Mayuri". He settles cases to try to make sure Nae gets a game.
• August 11th to 13th, 2011: Makise Kurisu returns from SERN. She has been working there for a year now. We find out that Okabe has been in denial for a year over Mayuri's death.
• Okabe and Daru are freed early but are kept under observation by only Tennouji Yuugo and Kiryuu Moeka. (I don't know why he's back in Japan early and under little observation. He should have been released in December 2011 unless its a typo and he was released in December 2010)
• Suzuha's time machine was confiscated, thus trapping Suzuha in 2010/2011. (This is a paradox I know. She should have been in 1975, but we have no clue what goes on in this world line).
• Kurisu give Okabe an upgrade to the time leap machine. Her last resort to saving Mayuri. Okabe time leaps to a year ago to prevent Mayuri's death.

• From the point of Kurisu. Okabe is in distraught and broken mentally from the multiple time-leaps and failures to save Mayuri.
• In this world line the one to find Okabe at the bridge is Faris and her butler Kuroki, not Kurisu.
• Kurisu ends up getting advice from Yukata (Faris's father) and also manages to talk to her own father, Makise Souichi. After getting advice from multiple people, Kurisu resolves to time leap to save Okabe mentally and give him advice. At this point, this is the event where it ties into the original game.

• Between 2033 and 2036: Kayano joins the Rounders and undergoes human experimentation in order to fortify her body.
• 2036
  • SERN researchers develop a theory on the means to transfer information to oneself across world lines similiar to Okabe Rintarou's "Reading Steiner".
  • September 27: The Committee of 300, using SERN's time machine to travel back in time, practically annihilates the Valkyrie resistance group during their assassination attempt upon the Rounder commander Libron. Kayano kills Kiyotaka.
  • September to October: Kayano kills Amane Yuki.
  • September to October: Rounders attack the Valkyrie remnant during "Operation Brynhildr". Kayano attacks Amane Suzuha , injures Mikoshiba Rei and Katsuragi Shinjirou, and damages the FG204.
  • October to November: Kayano and Rounders attack and completely wipe out remaining members of the Valkyrie resistance group. Kayano uses SERN's time-machine to pursue Amane Suzuha to 2010.

Beta Attractor Field

• August 21, 2010: Amane Suzuha, who time-travelled from 2036, meets Okabe Rintarou in 2010 to carry out the future Okabe Rintarou's plan in order to stop World War III.
• 2025: Okabe Rintarou sends two D-mails to himself in 2010. One is a plain text message that says "Watch TV"; another one is a video D-mail that explains his plan of how to save Makise Kurisu and enter the Steins;Gate.

• Okabe spends a month here.
• The Americans correct the timeline by having Okabe meet a militarized version of Amadeus. Okabe reading steiners into 1.129954^β.

• Okabe lands on this worldline when the Americans undo Russia's first time travel experiment.
• 1975: Suzuha acquires an IBN 5100, completing the first part of her mission.
• 1998-2010: Suzuha uses the IBN 5100 to prevent the time machine from being effected by the Y2K crash. Kagari wonders from the time machine and is abducted. Suzuha wastes lots of fuel looking for her every two years along the way to 2010.
  • Kagari is mind controlled fully by Leskinen in the future allowing him to gain Intel in the past.
• January 21, 2011:
  • Okabe learns that other people like Mayuri's cosplay friend Fubuki have reading steiner too, if not in a diminished capacity.
  • Suzuha holds Okabe at gun point to get him to try to save Kurisu again. Failing Okabe tells them that he has no intention of ever trying again.
• January 23, 2011:
  • Amadeus Kurisu has Maho and Okabe go on a date together, misinterpreting the atmosphere altogether.
  • After some coaxing Okabe shows Maho where Kurisu died.
  • After arriving at Daru's lab to have Maho speak to him, Okabe decides to tell Maho the truth about everything that happened to Kurisu and her research under the condition she does not try to save her.
  • Daru's secret work place is ransacked with the three of them barely able to get out in time. SERN rounders attack the group of them as they get out onto the streets.
  • Russian paratroops attempt and succeed in destroying the fake hard drive Daru had made.
• June 3, 2011: Mind controlled Kagari steals Moeka's phone and has Moeka help her, pretending to be a messenger from "FB".
• June 25, 2011:
  • Maho has been trying to help Daru reconstruct the time leap machine to no avail.
  • Leskinen discovers Okabe and Fubuki's reading steiner abilities.
  • Kagari attacks the lab while Suzuha is visiting.
• July 3, 2011: Okabe goes to greet Maho as she arrives back in Japan.
• July 7, 2011:
  • Whilst trying to make the time leap machine Okabe discovers the rebuilt phone-wave.
  • Okabe and Daru get into a fight and Okabe claims that Maho was trying to sacrifice Mayuri for Kurisu.
  • While Okabe is hesitant whether to try again or not Mayuri, overhearing their conversation, discovers her fate on the alpha worldline.
  • Mayuri runs to Suzuha sobbing. Suzuha admits to Mayuri that if she had not sheltered Okabe when he'd first failed they might have been able to get him to see reason. Mayuri and Suzuha receive a video dmail from Daru in 2025 entitled Operation Archlight telling them to try to convince Okabe to try again.
  • Okabe starts a frantic searching for Mayuri. He receives a message from Amadeus that someone had discovered the time machine.
  • Okabe discovers that Leskinen had leaked the time machine info so that he could take over the world. Arriving at the time machine he discovers trained marines attempting to capture the time machine. Kagari however has killed most of them and is now in a fatal state. Okabe discovers that Kagari had been posing as Yuki as to glean Intel on the lab from the inside.
  • Mayuri gives Okabe her goodbye message on her phone. As Mayuri and Suzuha attempt to use the time machine to go back they are struck and destroyed by a rocket launcher on a helicopter.
  • Okabe returns to the lab in shambles. He reads Mayuri's message and melts even further. Barely able to pull himself together he sees the incomplete time leap machine. He offers Maho the final instructions on how to finish it.
  • As the time leap machine is completed Okabe dawns his lab coat, which had been getting a moldy smell, and declared to Daru, Maho and Faris that even if it took him hundreds, thousands, millions, or an eternity of attempts he will rescue Suzuha, Mayuri... and Kurisu too. Okabe leaps back to earlier that day.
  • Okabe manages to delete Amadeus and stall Leskinen long enough so that Mayuri and Suzuha can leave safely.
• 2011-2025: Using every bit of dedication and obsession within him, Okabe crafts a worldline in which he or his past self will be allowed to save Kurisu, landing Okabe on (1.??????^β) an unknown beta worldline.
• 2025:
  • Daru records a video dmail for Suzuha and Mayuri in July of 2011 instructing them to go back to the day that Okabe failed and convince him to try again.
  • Okabe dies protecting Mayuri from a mugger in the war ravaged future.
• 2025-2036: With Maho's help Daru manages to perfect the time machine.
• 2036: Suzuha and Kagari flee the hidden Valkyrie outpost in the time machine as it's overrun with "peace-keepers".

1.129848^β [Steins;Gate 0 VA+PR+MWC]

• This is the worldline Okabe lands on first when he fails to save Kurisu on July 28th, 2010.
• 1975: Suzuha acquires an IBN 5100, completing the first part of her mission.
• 1998-2010: Suzuha uses the IBN 5100 to prevent the time machine from being effected by the Y2K crash. Kagari wonders from the time machine and is abducted. Suzuha wastes lots of fuel looking for her every two years along the way to 2010.
  • Kagari is mind controlled fully by Leskinen in the future allowing him to gain Intel in the past.
• August 21, 2010: Returning from failing to save Kurisu Okabe gives all hope of saving her.
  • Mayuri, not knowing what has happened, tries and fails to cheer up Okabe.
• September-November, 2010: Okabe attempts to live as a 'normal' college student. He devotes himself to trying to accomplish more of what Kurisu was doing before her death.
  • In this time span Okabe upgrades his phone to a smart phone. Daru creates an app called RINE for them all to communicate on privately.
• November 23, 2010: Attending a seminar held by Kurisu's peers, Professor Leskinen and Maho, he reveals to them that he once knew Kurisu and so they have him test Amadeus, an AI created with a copy of Kurisu's memories.
• Maho hires Daru to hack into Kurisu's laptop/harddrive. Without Okabe's help Daru is unable to get into Kurisu's files. Daru hides the harddrive inside of the time machine and creates a fake.
• December 15, 2010: Okabe recieves a dmail through RINE; "The world can be tricked. Connect the possibilities. Deceive the world."
  • If Okabe turns off his phone before he receives the dmail, ignoring Kurisu, the worldline changes to 1.064750^β. This change occurs to reflect the less interest Leskinen has in Okabe and therefore him not discovering Okabe's ability to remember other worldlines later on.
  • Okabe asks later that day to stop being a tester for Amadeus, afraid he'll fall in love with Kurisu all over again. Despite this Leskinen leaves the app on Okabe's phone and allows him to use it when ever he wishes.
  • After Okabe's meeting with Leskinen and Maho the three of them are ambushed in a parking lot by a religious extremist. Only the assailant is killed.
• December 24, 2010: During Mayuri's planned Christmas Party the worldline changes due to Russian experimenting with Kurisu's thesis. Okabe reading steiners into 1.382733^β.
• 2025: Okabe dies protecting Mayuri from a mugger in the war ravaged future.
• 2025-2036: With Maho's help Daru manages to perfect the time machine.
• 2036: Suzuha and Kagari flee the hidden Valkyrie outpost in the time machine as it's overrun with "peace-keepers".

• 2025: With Maho's help Daru manages to perfect the time machine.
• July 28, 2025:
  • With the inspiration received from a dmail sent from another worldline Okabe records a video dmail telling himself the details of Operation Skuld and how to save Kurisu avoiding WWIII.
  • Okabe traces Mayuri and Suzuha's black hole data in order to rescue them from the event-horizon. Okabe stays behind with Mayuri and Suzuha in order to trick the world into thinking he'd died in 2025.
  • Daru records a video dmail for Suzuha and Mayuri in July of 2011 instructing them to go back to the day that Okabe failed and convince him to try again.
• August 21, 2025: Luka sends the prerecorded video dmails to their intended destinations.
• 2036: Suzuha and Kagari flee the hidden Valkyrie outpost in the time machine as it's overrun with "peace-keepers".

1.064750^β [Steins;Gate 0 PR]

• 1975: Suzuha acquires an IBN 5100, completing the first part of her mission.
• 1998-2010: Suzuha uses the IBN 5100 to prevent the time machine from being effected by the Y2K crash. Kagari wonders from the time machine and is abducted. Suzuha wastes lots of fuel looking for her every two years along the way to 2010.
  • Kagari manages to escape Leskinen and is no longer fully mind controlled. However, Kagari only can remember 2036 and after she woke up after escaping.
• December, 2010:
  • Mayuri cancels her Christmas party because everyone is busy, rescheduling for New Years.
  • Suzuha finds Kagari living with Luka's family after they found her wondering the road with tattered clothes.
  • During the party Amadeus stops working for an unknown reason.
  • The lab is attacked during the New Years party and a masked person attempts to abduct Kagari.
• January 2, 2011:
  • Okabe has Moeka and Faris investigate who could have attacked the lab.
  • SERN discovers there could be a connection between information on Kurisu's time travel thesis and Okabe. SERN uses their influence to take over Amadeus, calling Okabe. When Okabe answers they're able to glean enough information out of them to reestablish dominance in the future.
  • Okabe is strangely called by Amadeus and she begs for help. Before Okabe can respond however reading steiner kicks in landing Okabe on 0.571082^α .
• 2025: Okabe dies protecting Mayuri from a mugger in the war ravaged future.
• 2025-2036: With Maho's help Daru manages to perfect the time machine.

• 2036: Suzuha and Kagari flee the hidden Valkyrie outpost in the time machine as it's overrun with "peace-keepers".

1.053649^β [Steins;Gate 0 PR]

• 1975: Suzuha acquires an IBN 5100, completing the first part of her mission.
• 1998-2010: Suzuha uses the IBN 5100 to prevent the time machine from being effected by the Y2K crash. Kagari wonders from the time machine and is abducted. Suzuha wastes lots of fuel looking for her every two years along the way to 2010.
  • Kagari manages to escape Leskinen and is no longer fully mind controlled. However, Kagari only can remember 2036 and after she woke up after escaping.
  • Kagari is implanted with Kurisu's memories by Stratfor to try to discover information on Kurisu's time travel thesis.
• 2010:
  • Amadeus is shut down due to moral/ethical questions from the public.
  • Okabe meets Maho as she visits the place that Kurisu died.
• January 3, 2011: Kagari starts acting like Kurisu, appearing to have her memories.
• January 6, 2011: Kagari's condition starts to deteriorate to the point where she can't distinguish between hers and Kurisu's memories/thoughts.
• January 11, 2011: Okabe gives Maho the instructions on how to complete the time leap machine so that they can replace the jumbled memories inside Kagari's mind with a new set of her own.
• January 15, 2011:
  • Okabe has Suzuha disguise herself as Kagari to lure out the people who implanted Kurisu's memories into her.
  • Discovering the people who did this are Stratfor Okabe has Daru hack them and attempt to recover Kagari's memory data before they are overrun.
  • Okabe remove's Kurisu's memories from Kagari after a moment's hesitation and reading steiner kicks in, landing Okabe on 1.055821^β.
• 2025: Okabe dies protecting Mayuri from a mugger in the war ravaged future.
• 2025-2036: With Maho's help Daru manages to perfect the time machine.
• 2036: Suzuha and Kagari flee the hidden Valkyrie outpost in the time machine as it's overrun with "peace-keepers".

1.055821^β [Steins;Gate 0 PR]

• 1975: Suzuha acquires an IBN 5100, completing the first part of her mission.
• 1998-2010: Suzuha uses the IBN 5100 to prevent the time machine from being effected by the Y2K crash. Kagari wonders from the time machine and is abducted. Suzuha wastes lots of fuel looking for her every two years along the way to 2010.
  • Kagari manages to escape Leskinen and is no longer fully mind controlled. However, Kagari only can remember 2036 and after she woke up after escaping.
• January 31, 2011:
  • Maho makes a back up of Okabe's memories for testing inside of Amadeus.
  • Okabe from 2036 arrives after the 3000th time leap. Okabe decides to tell Maho everything and have her help him build the Time Leap Machine again.
  • Okabe revives Hououin Kyouma infront of everyone and commits to end the third world war.
• February 2, 2011:
  • Kagari is kidnapped by Reyes in order to download Kurisu's memories into her.
  • Amadeus learns what is going on and stalls Reyes just long enough for Okabe to get Kagari out of harms way and Daru to delete Kurisu's memory data. Reyes mind is wiped, brain dead.
• December 18, 2011:
  • After a year of clean up back in America Maho has returned to Japan.
  • Okabe decides that if Daru maybe able to fool the world into thinking he's dead then maybe he can deceive the world into thinking Kurisu's dead. Unable to do anything from this date however he decides to pass along the learned knowledge in a dmail.
  • Daru has created a program that'll allow the lab to send dmails through RINE that wont be picked up by SERN's ECHELON system.
  • Okabe sends a message to convince himself to deceive the world and change his fate: "Deceive the world. Connect the possibilities. The world can be tricked."
• 2025: Tortured by Stratfor for information Okabe becomes brain dead. Daru recovers Okabe's body and keeps his body running and alive, set up to a time leap machine receiver. Daru effectively deceives the world into thinking Okabe had died.
• 2025-2036: With Maho's help Daru manages to perfect the time machine.
• 2036:
  • Daru uses the recently found copy of Okabe's memories to revive Okabe's mind.
  • Okabe wakes in a strange room after arriving on this worldline. He discovers the year is 2036, 11 years after he'd suppose to have died. Daru explains what has happened to everyone.
  • The death of Luka in Okabe's arms convinces him to use the time leap machine more then 3000 times to reach 2011 and change the future.
  • Suzuha and Kagari flee the hidden Valkyrie outpost in the time machine as it's overrun with "peace-keepers".

1.048728^β [Heni Kuukan no Octet / Variant Space Octet]

• Around a month after the time machine disappearance in Steins;Gate worldline, Okabe is struck with the familiar vertigo, Reading Steiner, and after the vertigo disappears, he gets a D-Mail from 2025 Okabe Rintarou that explains this worldline is in dangerous future which is worse than Dystopia or World War III. His mission is to retrieve an IBN 5100 from a person known as Neidthardt.

1.048596^β (the Steins Gate)

• This world line is where the True end of the main plot occurs. This world line lies in between the alpha and beta attractor field thus it converges to neither of both.
• July 28th, 2010: Okabe discovers the unconscious body of Makise Kurisu. Presuming her dead he sends a message to Daru telling him of the scene and tipping off SERN.
• Between 2009 and 2019: SERN succeeds in constructing a small-scale LHC and develops a black hole bomb.
• Robotics;Notes takes place in this world line

The "R" line

• An unstable world line that is described as not really being separate from the Steins Gate world line but being in a layered or entwined state with it and having a divergence difference of 0.000001%.
